Why people call

Four reasons to tint. Winter has three of them.

The sun sits low from November to February, so it reaches deeper into your rooms, not less. Heat is the summer payoff.

Low winter sun falling across an oak floor and a woven rug
01 · Fading

The sun is bleaching your floors.

UV fades hardwood, rugs, furniture and art all year long. Window film blocks up to 99% of it.

Harsh glare across a kitchen island and a washed-out TV screen
02 · Glare

The room is too bright to use.

Low sun across the TV, the desk and the kitchen. Film takes the squint out and keeps the view.

A living room side window that looks straight across at the neighbor's upstairs window
03 · Privacy

The neighbors can see in.

Reflective film turns the glass into a mirror from the street in daylight. Nights work differently, and we explain how below.

04 · Heat, by June

The 100° days are coming.

Film stops a big share of the sun's heat at the glass. Put it in this winter and it's working before summer shows up.

Stuart Baker · Owner

Who shows up

The owner quotes it. The owner installs it.

Elevation is Stuart Baker. He measures your windows, brings the film samples, and installs every sheet himself. No sales rep, and no crew you've never met.

  • No showroom and no fleet, so there's no overhead to pass on to you.
  • Honest about what each film can and can't do, before you spend a dollar.
  • Usually gets back to you within the hour during business hours.

Honest about privacy

Privacy film works in daylight. At night, close the blinds.

Reflective film works because it's brighter outside than inside. The street sees a mirror and you see the view. After dark the light flips, and a lit room shows through to the street.

Stuart will tell you which film fits each room, and when frosted film is the better answer for a bathroom or front door.

Daytime: the front window with privacy film mirrors the street, so you cannot see inside Night with the lamps on: the same window shows the whole living room to the street

Daytime, from the street: a mirror. Nobody sees in.

Questions

What people ask before they call.

How much does window tinting cost?

About $150 a window, and most homes land between $2,000 and $3,000. Film runs $9.50 to $16 a square foot depending on the type. Your exact price comes from a free on-site quote.

Will it make my house dark?

No. Film comes in a range of shades, including UV films that are close to clear. Stuart brings samples so you can see each one on your own glass before you pick.

Does privacy film work at night?

Not on its own. Reflective film needs it brighter outside than in. At night, use blinds, or ask about frosted film for rooms that need privacy around the clock.

Is winter a good time to tint?

Yes. Fading and glare happen all year, and the low winter sun reaches further into the room. And the film is already in place when the summer heat arrives.

Who does the work?

Stuart, the owner. He quotes the job and installs every window himself.

Are you insured? What's the warranty?

Yes, fully insured. Every install carries Stuart's lifetime warranty on the workmanship plus the manufacturer's lifetime warranty on the film.
